    The ongoing work

    Built to stay.

Project Stay is an ongoing suicide-prevention initiative dedicated to mental health awareness, compassionate conversation, practical resources, and hope.

Founded by the owner of Catharsis Body Art, Project Stay brings together artists, mental health professionals, advocates, and neighbors around the reasons people choose to stay.

Project Stay is bigger than any one day. It will continue sharing support and suicide-prevention resources and hosting future events for the community.

    The artists and their why.

My journey with mental health has been one of the greatest challenges of my life. It has been a long road filled with struggles, setbacks, and moments that tested my strength. Along the way, I learned that healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about finding the strength to keep moving forward, even on the hardest days. Today, I am stronger than I ever thought I could be. As a tattoo artist, I have the privilege of helping people tell their stories through art. Every tattoo represents something meaningful—a milestone, a loved one, or a new beginning.

Given my personal experience with suicide and the impact it's had on my life I'm not sure how to articulate my thoughts and feelings about it. I just need people to know that they are not alone.

    A note from the studio

What I love about this is that it's honest. Not every thought we have is articulate, curated, or elegant—it's often the opposite. Sometimes just knowing that you can reach someone is all that matters.
